Gibson Custom Shop Historic Les Paul Custom '68 Reissue "Good Wood Era Black Beauty" Ebony & Gold 2002
Man these ‘68 Custom LPs just can’t be beat and is the archetype of what the “Good Wood Era” was all about! This one is just a rock and roll machine! And of course she’s got that classy Les Paul look!
There’s just something about this neck and Ebony fingerboard that really is next level.Super fun to play and makes me feel like a better player than I actually am. .88 on first and 1.01 at twelfth.
The Stock 57 Classic Pickups are responsive and articulate. She is bright and smooth on the bridge pickup and warm and clear on the neck. This is truly a rock and roll machine!
Electronics work perfectly and she sounds fantastic. She’s balanced and sustains forever. Truly a tone monster!
Neck is straight as an arrow and she is setup real nice right now. Action is low and fast. Original frets look great with little to no wear. Truss turns both ways with ease.
Astoundingly, she’s in NEAR MINT CONDITION with very few signs of use. Some light marks on the cavity plate are really all I can find. A Case Queen for sure! All stock. No cracks, breaks, or repairs. This is a great one!
She comes in the Original Gibson Hard Case.
