EPIC! Look at that top! That back! The grain is just perfect. This is a stunner no doubt. The Figured Transparent Red Finish is classic and unrivaled! A pickguard was never even installed no doubt to showcase that top!
Original Stamped Gibson USA 490r and 498t pickups are responsive and articulate. She is bright and smooth on the bridge pickup and warm and clear on the neck.
The Ebony fretboard is fast and amazing.
Electronics work perfectly and she sounds fantastic.
Very little fret wear that I can see on those original frets. Tons of life left for sure! No buzzing. Neck is straight as an arrow and she is setup real nice right now. Rounded 50s style neck is nice and comfy at .85 on first fret and .96 on twelfth.
Truss looks like it’s never even been turned and the action rocks right now!
Guitar looks to be all original and ready for her forever home!
She’s been played and shows signs of use. Some indentations on the front and wear on the hardware. VERY GOOD CONDITION for a 30+ year old beauty for sure. All honest playwear with no breaks or repairs. Buckle rash/worming and minor dings throughout are of note. Nothing that hinders play or needs attention any time soon.
She comes in Original Gibson Hard Case with Dust Cover. Case shows moderate wear and handle has been swapped for an nice aftermarket leather one.
