Gibson Les Paul Custom Ebony & Gold "Black Beauty" Factory Kahler Bridge 1985
Man these Custom LPs just can’t be beat! This one is just a rock and roll machine! And of course she’s got that classy “BLACK Beauty” look!
There’s just something about this neck and fingerboard that really is next level. Super fun to play and makes me feel like a better player than I actually am. Comfortable at .81 at first fret and .96 at twelfth.
The Original Tim Shaw Humbucker Pickups are responsive and articulate. She is bright and smooth on the bridge pickup and warm and clear on the neck.
This is truly a rock and roll machine!
Electronics work perfectly and she sounds fantastic.
Neck is straight as an arrow and she is setup real nice right now. Action is low and fast. Very little fret wear that I can see but Original frets have the fretless wonder vibe for sure. Truss nut turns both ways with ease. This Fretboard selection of Ebony is just STUNNING!
She’s all stock besides maybe the strap pins and ready for her forever home!
Astoundingly for a 40 year old, She’s in VERY GOOD CONDITION with some honest player wear. Moderate Buckle rash and a few small dings here and there are of note. Face of guitar is almost perfect! The neck has a impression and she looks to have some hang rash marks. Unfortunately, I don’t know the history on this one. It may have had a neck break in it’s past but if it was it was a real pro repair job. Priced accordingly. No tuning issues. No play issues. A killer piece of Gibson History.
She comes in Gibson Hard Case (5/10 but functions as it should).
